Advantages of Custom Oil Paintings from Photos

Have you ever wanted a custom oil painting from your photos? This article will help guide you in the right direction, and allow you to discover if you having your photos turned into an artistic masterpiece is the right choice for you.

First, Custom Oil Painting is very different in terms of care and use than a digital print. Having a digital print enlarged on a canvas can create some allure, but doesn't really give you the gusto or "je ne sais quoi" a handmade painting can give. On top of that, caring for and framing a digital print is much different than caring and framing a painting done by hand. One is quite easy and effortless; the other requires a bit more attention to detail.

Custom oil paintings or any handmade painting for that matter requires a higher level of care and detail than regular photos. Oil paintings have to be allowed to breathe, and is constantly drying and settling on the canvas. You can touch a digital picture almost immediately after printing, whereas an oil painting takes days, if not weeks to dry. And even then, can still be smudged or smeared for some time.

Having said that, the presence of a hand crafted custom painting speaks volumes over a plain old picture in a frame. An oil painting made from you picture will last generations, and can be handed down through your family for many years to come. Future generations will still be proud to display your family’s fine art.

If you select a quality artist or service to commission your Multi-Media Painting, you can rest assured that years of painting experience will recreate your image with exacting qualities you can be proud to leave on display. Many artists will even go a step further and paint your face on historic figures, or even paint portraits of your pets as famous historic dignitaries. The choice is yours! This is a much more difficult task to digitally recreate however, and often requires expensive software. And even then, can still look unnatural.
